Ethical step on praying

Praying
Ethical step on praying

 by
Shaykh 'Abdul Hamid bin' Ab-dirrahman as-Suhaibani

 1. Saying praise to God before prayer and ends with utter blessings on the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam

That's because you ask God a gift of grace and forgiveness, the first to be done by you is giving praise and exaltation in accordance with the position of Allah, the Glorified.

From Fadhalah bin 'Ubad radi anhu, he said: "When the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam in a state of sitting, came a man. The man was then praying and praying: 'O Allah, forgive (my sins) and give me your grace. "So, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said, 'You have haste, O people who were praying . When you have finished praying and then you sit down to pray, then the (first) praise God with praise worthy for Him and bershalawatlah me, then berdo'alah. "Then came the others, after praying he berdo 'a by first like to praise and bershalawat to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said to him, 'O people who were praying, pray to Allah Allah will grant do'amu. '"[1]

 2. Husnuzhzhan (kind thought) to Allah
 Allaah says,

"And when My servants ask-you concerning Me, then (answer) that I was close. I granted the request of those who pray. "[Al-Baqarah / 2: 186]

God close to us, and God is with us with His knowledge (knowledge of Him), his supervision and His care. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam has been meme-commanded us to submit only problem granting prayer to God and should be me-flavor sure to terkabulnya prayer.
From Abu Hurayrah radi anhu, he said, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

"Berdo'alah to God in a state you feel confident will be granted the prayer." [2]

Purpose of this hadith is that you should feel confident and believe that God in His mercy and His great bounty will not disappoint anyone who pray to Him, when being said with full hope and sincere in truth. It is caused when a person who pray do not believe and are sure to be a wish come true prayer that he prayed, it is not possible do'anya he prayed earnestly.

 3. Confess sins done. These actions reflect the perfect servitude to God

It is based on the hadith of 'Ali ibn Abi Talib radi anhu, he said, "It has been said the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam:

إن الله ليعجب من العبد إذا قال: لا إله إلا أنت إني قد ظلمت نفسي فاغفرلي ذنوبي إنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت, قال: عبدي عرف أن له ربا يغفر و يعاقب.

"Verily Allah to His servant amazed when he said: 'There is no deity except You are right, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive my sins because actually no one forgives sins except You.' Allah said, 'my servant has learned that for him there was Lord who forgives sins and punishes.' "[3]

 4. earnestly pray
It is based on the hadith narrated from Anas ibn Malik radi anhu, that he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

إذا دعا أحدكم فليعزم المسألة ولايقولن اللهم إن شئت فأعطني فإنه لا مستكره له.

'If one of you pray, let him earnestly petition to God and no one should say,' O Allah, if You are willing, then this do'aku graciously, "for surely no one forces of God." [4]

Purpose of earnest in prayer is constantly in asking and pleading to God with urgency.

 5. Urges constantly in prayer
It is based on the hadith of 'Aisha radi anhuma, he said,

"The coat hers was stolen, then he mendo'akan ugliness to the person who stole it, then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,' Do not you lighten it. '" [5]

That thou shalt not steal it with ease sin do'amu behavior for ugliness.

 6. Pray to repeat it three times
It has been narrated with a saheeh in the Sunnah, as long hadith narrated by Muslim from Ibn Mas'ud Companions radi anhu, he said,

'Once the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam finished off his prayer, he raised his voice, and then pray for evil to them and when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam prayed, he repeated three times and when he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam beg, repeated three times and then he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam prayed:' O Allah, I give thee over the Quraysh, O God, above the Quraysh I give thee, O God, I give thee over the Quraysh. '"[6 ]

 7. Pray with wording short and concise but broad meaning
That is, with concise and useful words which indicate the broad meaning of the wording that is short and to the intent required using the wording of the simplest (not rhyming verses) as the information contained in Sunan Abi Dawud and Musnad Imam Ahmad from 'A'ishah that he said:

كان صلى الله عليه وسلم يستحب الجوامع من الدعاء ويدع ما سوى ذلك.

"Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam very fond of praying with prayer-prayer succinct but its broad meaning and not pray with that other than that." [7]

One example of this prayer is a hadith narrated from Farwah bin Nawfal, he said: "I asked 'Aisha about prayer that is always being said by the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, he said," He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam always say the prayer:

اللهم إني أعوذ بك من شر ما عملت وشر ما لم أعمل.

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil that I have not done." [8]

Meanwhile, another example is the hadeeth of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam that he always prayed with the following prayer:

اللهم اغفر لي خطيئتي وجهلي وإسرافي في أمري, وما أنت أعلم به مني, اللهم اغفر لي جدي وهزلي وخطئي وعمدي وكل ذلك عندي, اللهم اغفر لي ما قدمت وما أخرت وما أسررت وما أعلنت وما أنت أعلم به مني, أنت المقدم وأنت المؤخر وأنت على كل شيء قدير.

"O Allah, grant forgiveness to me on my mistakes, ignorance, and attitudes berlebihanku in my business and everything that you know more than me. O Allah, grant forgiveness to me on my seriousness and candaku, my mistake and kesengajaanku, all that is in me. O Allah, grant forgiveness to me on anything I have done and what I have not done, nothing that I hid-right and that I was putting out, and anything that you know better than I, Thou Who Mahamendahulukan (servant to your Mercy) and The Mahamengakhirkan, thou Who has power over all things. "[9]

 8. People who pray should start with mendo'akan yourself (if you want to pray for others)

 As word of Allah Ta'ala:

ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان

"... Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have faith ahead of us ..." [Al-Hashr / 59: 10]

 His words are:

"Moses prayed: 'Yes Rabbku, forgive me and my brother and us down thee grace ...'" [Al-A'raf / 7: 151]

 His words are:

"Yes my Lord, grant forgiveness to me and both my mom and dad all the believers on the day of reckoning (the Day of Resurrection)." [Ibrahim / 14: 41]

From Ibn 'Abbas from Ubay ibn Ka'b, he said,

"When the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam remember to someone, then he was before he put the mendo'akannya and pray for himself." [10]

But it is not the custom of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and sometimes indeed the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam pray for others without mendo'akan himself as the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in the story of Hagar:

يرحم الله أم إسماعيل لو تركتها لكانت عينا معينا.

"May God give you grace to Mother Ishmael, if he let the water of Zamzam (free flowing) surely he becomes a spring that keeps flowing." [11]

 9. Choosing efficacious prayer in time (time is granted), among which are:
 a. In the middle of the night [12]
 b. Between the adhan and iqamah [13]
 c. While in prostration [14]
 d. when the call to prayer
 e. When the battle was raging [15]
 f. After a time 'Asr on Friday [16]
 g. When the day of 'Arafah [17]
 h. When it rains [18]
 i. When the last 10 days of Ramadan (Laylat al-Qadr). (See ad-Du'a, the work of 'Abdullah al-Khudhari). [19]
