The issue of poverty experienced a shift , more realistic society

The issue of poverty has always been a political commodity during the election but during the general election campaign in 2014 there was a shift .
For comparison , in the 2009 election utopian themes of nationalism and independence , including poverty in it became a major theme in part .

Now raised political parties are practical issues that try to take care of society .

Head of the Poverty and Development Studies at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, University of Indonesia , Teguh Dartanto , provide one example of political parties in the campaign pledged R1 million per family . The other party carries the Rp1 billion village fund will be disbursed at once .

" I think we are intelligent people , trying to sort out the experience of 2004 and 2009 that they are not easily swayed by promises . They are more realistic now , " said Teguh Dartanto .

In some campaigns did not specifically mention the version of absolute poverty , such as not eating and can meet the needs of basic education . How infrequently raised or uneven promote inclusive growth .

" Most of the homes here are still thatched palm leaves , the walls of the timber . Eating too hard sometimes , especially in the dry season . "

True to conclude Dardanto poverty issue now is not as sexy as the 2009 election because the standard of living may be better after poverty rate dropped to 11.47 % .

As for the issue of poverty in society is relative .
" They're trying to compare between the people in the city , next-door neighbor so that the issues can occur is how pilgrimage, access to education and better health , " says researcher and lecturer at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, University of Indonesia to Rohmatin Bonasir .

In East Nusa Tenggara , one of the most underdeveloped provinces in Indonesia category , the primary requirement is still an issue for some residents .

" Most of the homes here are still thatched palm leaves , the walls of the timber . Eating too hard sometimes , especially in the dry season , "said Eni Laidat , the villagers Oematnunu , Kupang .

Eni 's village located in the mountains . In the dry season , water is hard to come by so it's not much that can be planted , except cassava .
For electoral contestants , the practical problems being targeted sympathy . Of which were performed by a member of Parliament from the constituency of NTT , also looked .

"There are so many people died who could not afford their eventual burial trouble , so it's the way we prepare the ambulance at no charge , " said the chairman of the Golkar faction in the House who is also a businessman it .

Of NTT constituency anyway , Fary Djemy Francis who ran again as a member of Parliament , brought the issue of rural infrastructure such as roads and water storage reservoirs .

But in general , as stated by the Head of the Poverty and Development Studies at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, University of Indonesia , Teguh Dartanto , election contestants do not offer a solution clearly and specifically poverty .
