Amount nearly 32,500 drug cases during 2013

Drug cases and the number of people arrested in such cases increased over the previous year .

This is revealed in a press release late Indonesian National Police .

Police so far this year 32 470 reveal all drug cases in 2013 , representing an increase of 5909 cases ( 22.25 percent ) compared to 2012, said National Police Chief Gen. ( Pol ) Sutarman in a press release .

Sutarman also said as many as 40 057 drug suspects secured throughout 2013.

" Raise of 7,165 people or 21.78 percent compared to last year , " said Sutarman .

Regarding the disclosure of the case , the Chief of Police suggests that the type of narcotic drug cases during 2013 there were 19 362 cases , up 9.38 percent or 1,660 cases compared to 17,702 cases in 2012 .

Meanwhile , the type of psychotropic drug cases as many as 1,485 cases , down by 7.48 per cent or 120 cases compared to 1,605 cases in 2012 .

Of cases the type of hazardous material , ie, there were 11 623 cases , up 60.23 percent or 4,369 cases compared to 7,254 cases in 2012 .

Regarding the number of suspects , said Chief of Police of all the suspects , narcotics suspects that as many as 26 099 people and secured an increase of 11.42 percent , or 2,674 people compared to 23,425 people in 2012 .

Meanwhile , the suspect psychotropic during 2013 totaled 1,723 , down 10.63 percent , or 205 people compared to 1,928 people in 2012 .

The number of dangerous suspects during 2013 accounting for 12 235 people and has increased 62.29 percent , or 2,390 people compared to 7,539 people in 2012 .
