Indonesia PT ANZ Bank (ANZ) has become one agent to market-based Islamic bonds, Sukuk Retail Series SR-005 (SR-005). ANZ retail customers can make purchases SR-005 with the offer period February 8, 2013 until February 22, 2013.

"This is the first time ANZ appointed as selling agent-based Islamic bonds, following the success of the marketing year of ORI 009. SR-005 is expected to be a safe alternative investment and profitable for our customers and we are optimistic that sales of SR-005 will get a positive response from the community that also will support the government's economic development program, "said ANZ Retail Banking Director, Mr Anthony Soewandy in a press release on Monday (11/02/2013).

Booking SR-005 can be performed in the office - ANZ branches with a minimum investment of Rp 5 million and a maximum multiplication of each individual purchase of Rp 5 billion.

According to Anthony, the profit to invest in SR-005 among others are feeling safe and secure because the payment and nominal yields are guaranteed by the state under the Act Sharia State.

In addition, benefits are attractive because yields on offer is higher than the interest rate (Prime Market), the yield rate is fixed until maturity and the potential Capital Gains on the secondary market.

SR-005 to market, the Ministry of Finance has appointed 25 agencies consisting of 16 banks and securities companies 9. ANZ addition, the government also appointed include Citibank, NA, PT Bank BRI Syariah, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri, PT Bank UOB Indonesia, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk and PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk.
